About Heather Lea
"Words that best describe me are energetic, playful, creative, and passionate. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, camping, campfires, early mornings, and healthy cooking. I find peace and pleasure in God's creation, the great outdoors-best described as my healing place, so every chance I get I'm out in the elements exploring throughout the seasons. I lived the country life up until I was 21 years old (now 41) and those years spent roaming acres of fields & woodlands with siblings and friends have left a lasting impression on my heart that continues to call me back to that lifestyle I once knew and loved.
"Awareness" is a word that's in the forefront of my mind daily. With this we have growth opportunities for healthy relationships on our journey because people need people. I love unraveling behaviors & habits, so early mornings you'll find me wrapped up with a good "self-improvement" book accompanied with God & coffee to jump start the day!
I am a mother to 4 incredible children and 2 fur babies. Together we enjoy the beaches of Lake Michigan, grilling out, hiking at state parks, chasing rainbows, playing football, creating, baking, and acting goofy. Throughout my early years of motherhood, I was always the one taking the pictures and never in them snuggling with my Loves, so that is one of many reasons why I'm passionate about capturing family moments for you. I’m the mom that wished I had more pictures with my kiddos.
In 2012, during my first 4 years as a mother, Heather Lea Photography evolved while we were residing in Hudson, WI. Through my photography journey, I have been inspired to shine my light by capturing relationships through my lens as a reminder to you of just how lovely you are, a masterpiece created in God's image. It is my purpose to provide you with nothing but the most beautiful heirloom quality wall art of your family-to display and pass down for decades."
